The Global Cities Urban Realities Semester Program - Paris

The Global Cities Urban Realities Semester Program is the creation of faculty and administrators at the University of California.  It is designed to introduce students to the complex social, political and economic issues brought about by immigration, increasing diversity and urban conflict in London and Paris.  The program is intended as a rewarding experience abroad for students interested in exploring the challenges faced by these exciting and dynamic European capitals.  The dates for the 2020 Semester Program in Paris are April 30th - July 18th.

During the first five weeks of their Paris program, semester students will be enrolled in one upper-division content course worth 4.5 UC quarter (3.0 semester) units.  This course meets for a total of thirty-eight hours over the course of five weeks.

During the last six weeks of the program, semester students will also be enrolled in the upper-division content course worth 4.5 UC quarter (3.0 semester) units.  This course meets for a total of thirty-eight hours over the course of six weeks.

Additionally, semester students will be enrolled in one lower-division City and Language course worth 6.0 UC quarter (4.0 semester) units.  This course meets for a total of sixty hours over the course of eleven weeks.
